Mission
 |
The realities of today's society may deprive many children of a significant adult role model. Poverty, isolation, high drop-out rates and delinquency are related phenomena. Mentoring can allow these kids, often left to their own devices, to rely on a role model and to develop their full academic, personal and social potential. |
Founded in 1975, Big Brothers Big Sisters of Greater Montreal perseveres in its mission to pair mentors with children who need a significant presence in their lives. Positive mentoring relationships clearly foster the harmonious development of these youths.
By combining our efforts with those of other organizations, we promote healthy and safe environments for our children. The close collaboration between our employees and volunteers is essential in providing our services. We must maintain the highest standards possible in order to obtain positive results for children and their families. We must also reflect the diversity of the communities we serve.
