Projet Horizons

Projet Horizons is an initiative unique to Quebec, founded in 2001 through the collaboration of three university students: Geneviève Létourneau, Joël Thibert et Samuel Vaillancourt. Projet Horizons has now merged with Big Brothers Big Sisters of Greater Montreal. It creates partnerships between high schools and elementary schools through their participation in a one-on-one tutoring program.

The mission of Big Brothers Big Sisters of Greater Montreal is to pair children from single parent families with a responsible adult who they will see on a regular frequency in order to encourage a fulfilling experience for the pairing.

We offer positive and meaningful role models to children, which will contribute to a stronger self esteem, development of healthy lifestyle habits and promote educational success.
